WELCOME TO THE

MIDLAND MIDWIVES BY
THE BAY

AHNII, BONJOUR, HELLO!

Midland Midwives By The Bay was established in 2018 with the vision to provide midwifery care that is responsive to the needs of our community. We are proud to report that we have doubled in size since laying down roots here. Our 2023-2024 projections show that we could provide midwifery care to almost 200 people and our new expanded clinics will grow this number even more!

We can provide you with midwifery services in French and English if you live in Midland, Penetanguishene, Tiny, Tay, parts of Severn Township, and surrounding areas. You will be able to plan a home birth or hospital birth at Georgian Bay General Hospital. Learn more about our service region here. While in midwifery care you will receive care from a Registered Midwife. Additionally, we are a teaching organization. This means that during your time with us you may see Midwifery Students in our clinics. Please let us know if your preference is not to have students participate in your care.

We are excited to also provide expanded midwifery services which include a breastfeeding and newborn clinic, early pregnancy assessment clinic, and a sexual health clinic. We have a trained lactation consultant on staff. You no longer must be a midwifery client to have access to midwives for support with breastfeeding and newborn care, early pregnancy assessment, and sexual health needs. All of our services are provided at no cost, regardless if you have a health card.
