BIOGRAPHY

KELSEY MURRAY

Hello! My name is Kelsey Murray. I have been practicing midwifery in the GTA since 2019, and am very excited to be starting with the Midland Midwives by the Bay. My partner and I have been looking for a more rural setting to call home, and what place better than the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay!

Prior to completing the Midwifery program at McMaster university, I studied biomedical science at the University of Guelph. In 2013 I embarked on a volunteer experience in labour and delivery in Ghana, West Africa, which sparked an interest in maternity care. It was there that I attended my first delivery, and worked with local midwives. I have been passionate about women’s reproductive health and obstetrical care ever since. It is important to me to offer holistic, client-centred care through a feminist lens.

I am also a trained chef, and hold a diploma of culinary arts from the Stratford Chefs School. In my off-call time, I enjoy cooking, outdoor sports, travelling, and curling up with tea and a good book! I am excited to be joining the team, and look forward to meeting the families I will be caring for.
